Final division 2 league game finished
in a 42-37 win for Spalding Storm against
Ouse Valley Vipers and confirms Spalding as
div 2 runners-up in their first season.
Storm dominated the first, a 15-0 run
helping towards a 19-7 lead at the break
and a low scoring second gave them a
22-15 half-time advantage.
Storm won the third 14-7 but Vipers
responded with a 6-15 fourth, but it
wasn’t enough to close the gap as Storm
held on for the win.
Nene Valley Venom are confirmed as
division 1 winners, East Cambs Warriors
forfeited again, their third such result this
month.
No games next Sunday as it’s Easter,
although the postponed Warriors v Cambridge
div 1 game is scheduled for Saturday morning.
We’re back on the following Friday, April 10,
with the Trophy semi-final between Spalding
and Ronins before the final division 1 games
on Sunday 12 complete the league season.
April 19 is the Cup and Trophy finals and
then we move into the Play-off games.
